We provide classes in a range of dance styles.

We specialize in small group tuition in Salsa Partner Dancing, Bachata, Rueda and how to free your spirit and enjoy your individuality on the dance floor.   Plans are underway for new classes at Fairfield House, Nelson.

Wedding Dance Classes are very popular. Nelson English Centre for International Students enjoy weekly Yoga and Salsa Classes. Monthly classes are held in the Sacred Ritual Dance of the Divine Feminine, Goddess Tara. Creative Educational Dance for School Teachers and Children are held on request.

Formerly of Golden Bay, Catherine Callaghan brings more than 20 years of dance teaching experience to her Nelson-based business, Dance Moves. Catherine has taught Jazz and Creative Dance to preschoolers through to adults. Therapeutic dance to the intellectually handicapped, Autistic and Wheelchair-based, and run workshops for school teachers preparing themselves to teach Dance as a subject in the school curriculum. Her Fireworks Dance / Drama Company was well-known in the Golden Bay region and influenced the lives of many, many children and adults in the area.

We are passionate about the value of dance and joy and happiness it brings into our lives and which we foster in people of all ages and abilities who attend our classes.
